Who we are
Lord of Life people are young families and empty nesters, babies and grandparents, singles and couples, toddlers and teens, full-time workers and full-time students, from Ames and from elsewhere. We’re helpers, learners, singers, writers, readers, activists, artists, casual dressers, skeptics, misfits, and friends.
We are Reconciling in Christ. We believe God loves you, no strings attached. God doesn’t care about race, gender, ethnicity, age, background, ability, education level, economic status, marital status, or sexual orientation. Neither do we.
We are a small local church that’s part of a big nationwide church ― the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
And we’re frugal. We share space in the University Lutheran Center with Lutheran Campus Ministry.
