All about worship
Worship times
Join us on Sunday mornings:
Everyone is invited to join in fellowship (that's conversation, coffee and treats) immediately following the worship service.
Description of worship
At Lord of Life, we follow Christian Liturgy. We celebrate Christ’s last supper, and his words, “do this in memory of me.” We sing, we hear readings from the Bible, we pray, we sing some more. We pray for peace and for those in need. We shake hands and give hugs. And we sing. The whole thing lasts about an hour.
Communion is offered during every Sunday worship service to all who are baptized and wish to commune at our Lord's Table. Children are invited to commune at their parents' discretion. The Blood of Christ is offered as both wine and grape juice.
How worship teams work
The people of Lord of Life plan our worship services as part of ever-changing worship teams. Each month a different group of Lord of Lifers comes together to volunteer for various duties during the next month’s worship and fellowship. It’s a chance to try something you haven’t done before – perhaps baking communion bread, giving a children’s sermon, providing special music, or making coffee for 40. At Lord of Life there’s always room for one more reader, greeter, usher, singer, deacon … you get the idea!
